PPCRCD is a RescueCD software that is based on PLD Linux Distribution and designed specifically for PowerMac computers, providing users with a reliable tool for rescuing and repairing their systems.
Currently, the beta test stage of PPCRCD is available for use, and it seems to be a promising solution for those who are looking for a reliable RescueCD for Linux machines. The goal of the development team is for PPCRCD to be able to fit on a 50MB business card CD.
Although this milestone may seem far off in the future, it is still something to look forward to. Additionally, one of the immediate goals is to make PPCRCD require less memory, running from memory or directly from CD. To do so, the software requires about 128 of RAM and 32MB at most, respectively.
Overall, PPCRCD is an exciting development that already shows promise in the current beta test stage. The project team continues to work on bringing more features and streamlining the software to make it a valuable asset to anyone in need of a RescueCD for their Linux machine.
