PSP-Recode is a service menu that efficiently handles PSP videos. It has been thoroughly tested with PSP versions 1.5-2.71-B' and has proven to work flawlessly.
To install PSP-Recode, you will need to have ffmpeg and kdialog installed on your system. For the best performance (including progress bars), I recommend installing zenity and mplayer as well. To do so, simply copy the PSP_Video.desktop file to $HOME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/ and copy psp-recode.sh to your $HOME/bin directory or another directory within your $PATH.
Once installed, you can easily access PSP-Recode options by typing psp-recode.sh –help in the console. Keep in mind that in order to use PSP-Recode, your PSP must be running firmware up to 2.01 or emulated firmware.
The latest release of PSP-Recode features a bug fix for those using ffmpeg versions that utilize video bitrate in bits/s or kbits/s. With these new improvements, PSP-Recode is definitely worth considering for anyone looking to encode PSP videos quickly and easily.
