This Java-based tool automates stress testing for server applications to analyze performance.
At its core, the PureLoad Console is the central place for system configuration where workers are assigned and task sequences are specified. Once the task sequences are added to the task space server, they are initialized. To start the load execution, it is initiated from the PureLoad Console, and the workers begin to fetch the task sequences from the task space server.
During execution, the task that is being executed communicates with an application server, or something similar, to generate load on it. Results from the execution can then be quickly presented and analyzed within the PureLoad Console.
In terms of features, PureLoad includes supplied tasks for HTTP, IMAP, POP, SMTP, NNTP, and more. Additionally, the Java Beans based API allows the creation of custom tasks. The solution also generates real-time statistics and HTML reports. Overall, PureLoad is a robust tool that allows for accurate and detailed analysis of server applications under load.
