Qlix is a graphical user interface software that allows communication with MTP Basic devices through libmtp. Based on QT, it offers a simple solution to manage files and data transfers.
One of the most impressive aspects of Qlix is its minimal memory footprint. Additionally, it has low dependency count, as it only depends on a sane STL implementation, Qt 4.2 and TagLib.
For those interested in giving Qlix a go, you'll need TagLib, as well as Qt 4.2 to get started.
Qlix has become even more user-friendly with the latest release. Among the new features, playlist support (listing playlists and their files) has been included, as well as improved album cover management capabilities.
Another welcome update is the new and improved user interface which is more intuitive and easier to navigate, coupled with a preferences menu. Qlix now supports multiple devices, with connections being made using DBUS, and signal handling for session termination, which effectively addresses dangling connection issues.
All in all, if you're looking for a simple, lightweight and user-friendly software interface that can effectively communicate with your MTP Basic device, be sure to give Qlix a try!
