qMsg is a user-friendly software that serves as a substitute for xmessage. It utilizes QT3 to provide a simple and efficient experience for its users.
One of the advantages of qMsg is that it allows users to customize the message box using command line arguments. The software allows users to specify the title of the message box, the icon (including options such as noicon, info, warning, and critical), and up to three buttons (including options such as ok, cancel, yes, no, abort, retry, ignore, and nobutton). Additionally, users can specify the default button and escape button.
Another great feature of qMsg is its ability to load messages from files in plain text or HTML format. If a message is not specified on the command line, qMsg will use standard input to read the message until an end-of-file is reached.
To use qMsg, users will need to have QT3.x installed. Overall, I found qMsg to be a reliable and feature-rich messaging software that allowed me to easily customize my message boxes. One thing to note is that qMsg uses button numbers and return values that start from 0, which may take some getting used to. However, once you become accustomed to this feature, it can be a powerful and time-saving tool.
