This software offers a DMM readout with a customizable recorder feature.
I stumbled upon QtDMM when a friend of mine complained about the DOS software he had been using. He found the software to be unusable and even had numerous hefty translation errors in the GUI. To help him out, I decided to give him something better, and that's how QtDMM came to be.
One of the most impressive features of this software is the recorder. You can choose to manually start, or schedule it to start automatically at a given time. If you set the right threshold, the software can trigger an automatic start and even start an external application. That's how efficient QtDMM is.
The QtDMM project was initially written for Metex multimeter, and compatible devices like VOLTCRAFT, which use an 14 byte protocol. Later, the software was updated to feature more protocols to support other DMM's. The preset table contains more information on the currently supported DMM's.
With the release of version 0.8, the software can now display more than one value from the multimeter, which is incredibly convenient. Overall, QtDMM is an excellent software that is worth trying out if you need a reliable DMM readout software for Linux.
