Players can connect to the QuakeMud server running on gnu.osoal.org.nz via telnet or their favorite mud client. By connecting to gnu.osoal.org.nz:4950, gamers can enjoy this unique Quake inspired MUD and impress their friends with their gaming skills.
To get started with QuakeMud, certain requirements must be met, including libhacknslash and glib1.2.x. Compiling is easy and can be done by ensuring that everything looks good in the Makefile before running the “make” command. Installation instructions are provided for players interested in installing the binary and config files in the /usr/local/games/quakemud directory. Additionally, the game expects the libhacknslash includes to be in the /usr/local/include/hacknslash directory by default.
