The Real Poker project is a software that emulates the game of poker, providing users with a virtual platform where they can play and practice their skills. It is designed to simulate the real-life experience of playing poker in a variety of settings and scenarios.
The software comes with a game library that contains four popular poker games, including Seven Card Stud, Five Card Stud, Texas Hold'em, and Five Card Draw. The game library file is named "games.lib," and it can hold up to 50 games. By default, the program loads the "games.lib" file from the .RP directory within the HOME directory when it is launched.
Users can click on the GAME LIBRARY drop-down item under the MISC menu to perform various functions concerning the game library. To use Real Poker, users require GTK+, version 2, and the pthread library.
In the latest release, Real Poker has made several changes, including adding working traits to robot players. The robots can now adjust play to the number of players in the game and position at the table. Other improvements include a new format for the Player Library, a type of simulation that allows users to fill in cards, and deal rotating for simulations. The changes have resulted in numerous minor bug fixes and significant improvements to the user manual.
