RealmForge is a 3D game engine designed for use on multiple platforms and built in .NET.
In this latest release, RealmForge has come up with some significant enhancements. The most notable ones include an access in-game editor by pressing F11 with any application, intuitive component-based input handling and behaviors that can be easily extended, support for editable Editor/DevTool Plugins, and drag-and-drop scene creation.
Users can reorganize the scene graph within the scene window and select nodes by clicking on them in the render window or Scene window to edit their properties in the Properties window (Property Inspector). Users can also add components like the rendering engine, application, and other custom properties for ease of use.
More features, such as new property editing options that work correctly, Orientation angles, Absolute Position, Direction, and fixes for existing properties, will be made available in future updates.
The About Box feature now has detailed information about the project and developers. The newly added event script designer and file save menu item also add more functionality to game development using RealmForge.
Though the File > Save menu item is currently buggy and not fully functional, its support indicates that the editor will soon be entirely usable for game development. Overall, RealmForge is a fantastic game engine that's easy to use and produces quality games.
