The rewritten webarchiver plugin is an upgraded version to that which is found in kdeaddons, offering superior functionality as a web archiving solution.
Installation of the plugin requires a few steps, including adding the "--dry-run" option to the patch command to check if patches apply cleanly to your source tree. After applying the kdelibs and webarchiver kdeaddons-patches, you will need to load konq-plugins/webarchiver/archivedialog.cpp into your favorite editor and set a variable to true or false depending on whether or not you have the patched http io slave installed. Then, you can recompile and install KHTML and the Webarchiver plugin.
This release has fixed a failed assertion if KHTML does not parse a STYLE area and uses "Verify" cache strategy if working together with the original http slave. Overall, the rewritten Webarchiver plugin is a significant improvement from the previous version and is definitely worth a try for those interested in archiving webpages.
