Control Rhythmbox remotely using Rhythmweb's web-based interface. Enjoy seamless access to all your media files and music tracks right from the comfort of your web browser.
One of the best things about Rhythmweb is that it's fairly easy to set up and use. All you need to get started is Rhythmbox v0.11 (although v0.10 may work), as well as Python 2.5. From there, you simply need to copy the "rhythmweb" directory to "~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/plugins", start up Rhythmbox, go to the Edit > Plugins... menu, and check the Enabled checkbox for Rhythmweb. Then, you can easily browse to the machine running on port 8000 to get started.
With the latest release of Rhythmweb, there are some exciting new updates to be aware of. For one thing, the software now displays a basic play list, which makes it easier to keep track of what you're listening to. Additionally, there's now support for mDNS bookmarking, which can be very useful for anyone who's looking to easily access their favorite stations or playlists. Finally, this release also includes various bugfixes, which should help ensure that Rhythmweb runs smoothly and efficiently.
