"robtrack16" is a software that visually tracks points in 2D images by utilizing a 16-bit segment of the YUV color space.
The software returns an x,y coordinate pair in the range between 0.0 and 1.0 for each color being tracked. It is recommended to use tracking shapes that are roughly circular for best results, although any shape will work since the "center-of-mass" is calculated based on the average x and y coordinates of all points in one set.
The interface to the results is a standard TCP socket with ASCII in- and output. The software contains several files, including robtrack16, robtrack16/ioctl_meteor.h, robtrack16/Makefile, robtrack16/LICENSE, robtrack16/bigphysarea-patch-rh52, robtrack16/README, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/History, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/ioctl_meteor.h, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/Makefile, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/meteor.c, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/meteor.h, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/old-meteor.c, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/saa71x6.h, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/Hardware-FAQ, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/README-1.4c, robtrack16/meteor-1.4c/meteor.doc, robtrack16/robtrack16yuv.cnf-sample, robtrack16/robtrack16.html, robtrack16/robtrack16yuv.c, robtrack16/meteor-devs.sh, and robtrack16/rc.local.
The latest release of this software includes support for the Matrox Meteor frame-grabber card, making it more powerful and efficient than ever before. Overall, the robtrack16 project is an effective tracking solution, that offers several handy features and is easy to use.
