Rubrica is a Gnome 2.x compatible address book software that allows users to store and manage their contacts efficiently. It offers a simple and intuitive interface for easy navigation and organization of contacts.
This software also offers user-friendly navigation tools, which include multiple document openings at the same time, customizable fonts, and the ability to choose the color of the data being displayed. The Rubrica GUI has two main windows. One displays all the addresses contained in the address book, while the other displays data contained in a selected address. There are four buttons available for navigation (first, last, next, and prev). The search tool is available, allowing a search by first name, last name, country, city, email and web URLs.
Rubrica supports multiple translations. This includes English, Italian, Spanish, French, Brazilian, Russian, Japanese, German, Bulgarian, and Slovak translations. To use Rubrica, the only requirement is that you have libral.
The latest release of Rubrica features various improvements, including bug fixes and code improvements. French and Russian localizations were added, along with new file format engines such as VCard and CSV plugins. The VCard plugin includes bug fixes reported on the Debian Bug Report List (bugs 441116, 441117, 441118, 441779). The old CSV plugin was replaced by CsvThunderbird and CsvGmail plugins with CsvThunderbird managing Thunderbird csv file format, and CsvGmail managing Gmail's csv (UTF16 encoded) file format. Finally, Rubrica now features the ability to print the first card and improved Libral API documentation.
