The Parrot class is a software representation of sprites used in Parrot SDL. It allows users to create and manipulate sprites in a convenient way.
Creating a new instance of the SDL::Sprite class is easy. You can simply set the required arguments using the 'init' method. This includes the source and destination positions of the sprite, the background color, and any other relevant parameters. If the image representation has more than one tile for animation, you can also define the width and height of each tile.
Once you have initialized your sprite, you can draw it onto any surface you choose simply by changing its coordinates. By changing the position of the sprite, you will be changing the position of the image it represents.
It's important to note that this class is still under development, and it is not meant to support all drawing styles. Nonetheless, SDL::Sprite is an easy-to-use software module that can prove to be extremely useful for developers creating games or other visual applications.
