Shade software allows you to hide and analyze data entries using steganography.
Shade LSB is a versatile and feature-rich project that performs payload on any payload file type and optionally on certain known file types such as jpeg/jfif, mpeg, mp3, wav, bmp (8 bit and 24 bit), png, and gif. It can store or acknowledge the payload file name in payload data, perform multiple payload files at once, and verify the integrity of payload data against the original payload file. Users can also perform payload backwards, input from standard input, and output processed data to standard output or file.
Shade LSB enables users to skip bytes at the head and tail of host data, skip X host bytes after performing each one, and limit performing payload to a specific number of bytes. Additionally, it provides the option to Xor-crypt the payload against custom repeating passphrase or bit-sequence and apply arbitrary operations sequentially on each byte of the payload file, such as inverting, reversing, transposing bits, or Xor-crypting against custom 8-bit-sequence.
The latest release of Shade features many new data processing and output features, making its code more friendly and efficient. Users can consult the official change log for a complete list of changes.
Overall, Shade is an excellent program with versatile features for those wanting to analyze and manipulate LSBs of files to hide or extract data.
