SrvReport is a comprehensive and user-friendly software for monitoring and reporting server performance. It offers a wide range of features to ensure the smooth running of servers.
A full report generated by SrvReport can provide users with a detailed analysis of the following statistics: network traffic (daily, weekly and monthly graphical representation), CPU-Usage (daily, weekly and monthly graphical representation), mail sent/receive report (to, from, size), last authenticated users, server warnings, other customized messages (like harddisk problems), optional web-server traffic report, optional Xfer-logs, and optional test for rootkits.
Additionally, SrvReport offers a wide range of functionalities such as support for different languages, does not require rare perl libraries, is easy to use as it only requires users to edit one configuration file, and is free with sources available in perl scripts.
Users must ensure that they have the appropriate criteria to run SrvReport, including the ability to run cron jobs, read access to "/proc/dev/net" for traffic report, execute access to "uptime" for CPU-usage report, read access to "/usr/log/warnings" for warnings, and the operating system must enable the use of perl scripts.
The latest version of SrvReport includes added support for Exim and a graphical report for the number of messages and bytes per hour. Additionally, comments have been added to the configuration of Apache2 and Exim, along with support for excluding lines via regex (exclude_regex).
