SVGpage is a pyGTK software that enables users to view and easily convert vector graphics to and from SVG format.
However, if you're searching for an SVG editor with the capability of creating fine, crisp curves and gradients, then this may not be the right program for you. SVGpage is ideal for simple graphics, where it can convert to SVG and render something very close. For involved images, such as pictures, SVGpage produces a painterly effect, which can be attractive and sought-after by many. It's similar to a single-click "GIMPressionist."
What's more, SVGpage can also help you convert your SVG images to a PNG or a JPG, and even resize them. The software uses Bilinear Interpolation and does an excellent job.
The latest version of SVGpage includes fixes such as the linking error caused by the wrong version in symlink for the binary running on Ubuntu, and the bypassing of the "what do you want to do with this executable text file" dialog on Ubuntu since the binary no longer starts from a script. The UI layout has also been changed to accommodate window dressings on Ubuntu and other distros, so all options now correctly fit.
Overall, SVGpage is an excellent software that does a great job in viewing and converting vector graphics, which is worth trying out.
