Sync2cd is an archiving software that performs incremental backups.
To use this software, you'll need Python 2.2 installed. Basic usage information can be obtained by typing "sync2cd --help" into the terminal. The command line interface offers several options with commands such as creating a new archive descriptor, outputting a graft list for an archive, printing archive information, restoring from archives, and copying files of an archive to a destination. There are also several options available for operating on archive number N, adding glob GLOB to pattern list, and setting archive medium size to N, among others.
With the latest release, Sync2cd has added two configuration options. The Discarded() option lets you specify discarded archive media, which means you no longer have to keep all descriptors around when creating a new archive. The Compress() option enables compression of archive descriptors and defaults to "on". Overall, Sync2cd is a powerful tool that can help you protect your valuable data by keeping it securely backed up in multiple locations.
