Syndigator is a GTK2 software that functions as an RSS reader and aggregator.
Syndigator boasts an array of exciting features, including support for RSS formats 0.91, 1.0, and 2.0. With a single key, users can effortlessly navigate through their news. The 'n' key takes users to the next unread message, while the 'Space' bar scrolls to the message's end and shows the next unread message. The tool also organizes feeds in categories that the user can interactively view, allowing them to click a category and view all the unread messages in all feeds in that category.
Additionally, Syndigator notifies users of new messages, thanks to its plugin system. Users can choose their preferred notifier plugins, and Syndigator will keep them notified of any updates. Furthermore, the tool permits long-term message storage, allowing users to mark messages as being kept, even if the feed no longer exports them.
Syndigator also offers color-based demarcation of updated messages, showing users exactly where the changes occurred in updates. The tool also allows users to set their desired feed-fetch interval or use the default allotment.
In its latest release, Syndigator has added significant improvements by supporting Atom syndication format and revising both data/configuration storage. The release also includes updated message display options, with color diff display between the old and new versions of updated messages, and an optional "Category" column display. The addition of external (plugable) launchers support is also worthy of note.
Overall, Syndigator is an excellent RSS reader for Linux users with a comprehensive range of features, making it an exciting addition to the collection of RSS readers.
