TagReport is a C++ exploration project that aims to provide a nifty solution for reporting.
The software supports four libraries that deal with audio files: libFLAC, libvorbisfile, libid3tag, and TagLib. LibFLAC processes FLAC files, libvorbisfile processes Ogg Vorbis audio, libid3tag processes MP3 audio, and TagLib supports both Ogg Vorbis and MP3 reading.
This release of TagReport boasts many new features and improvements. There have been numerous updates, so much so that we have made a significant version leap. The application now supports FLAC files, and instead of forking metaflac, it uses libFLAC. In addition, we have added support for using libvorbisfile and libid3tag to process MP3s when TagLib is not available.
Moreover, the software application contains many code cleanups that streamline the program's operation. We've also fixed a significant configure bug related to searching for the preprocessor. There is also a man page in SGML, although it is not necessary for most users to build it.
We've made all tag/comment-retrieving code available in ftfuncs.{cc,h} and moved all HTML-related code to html.cc. Overall, TagReport is an efficient and useful application that makes tagging audio files much more manageable.
