TaskSwitch is a desktop tool that functions like KSmoothDock and is integrated into Kicker.
Installing the package is easy. Simply navigate to the directory containing the source code and configure it for your system using the command `./configure`. If you are using an old version of System V and have `csh` enabled, use `sh ./configure` instead to prevent executing `configure` accidentally. The configuration process takes some time and may display messages indicating features that it is currently checking.
After configuration, compile the package using `make` and install it by running `make install`. Once the installation is complete, any data files, programs, and documentation will be available to use. To delete program binaries and object files from the source code directory, type `make clean`.
An update has been introduced which allows TaskSwitch to work with all panel positions. An intermittent crash has also been resolved. These changes make the utility more reliable and provide a better experience for users.
