Terminal Screenlet is a customizable screenlet allowing displays of a terminal with convenient accessibility.
One thing to keep in mind is that Terminal Screenlet is part of a larger collection of independently-developed widget applications called Screenlets. This collection includes a widget engine that's designed to run on X11-based compositing window managers. So if you're already using Compiz architecture (on Linux), you'll be in good shape!
It's worth noting that until version 0.0.14, all Screenlets were scripted in Python and drawn in SVG. However, support was later added for web widgets. These are written in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and they work in a similar way to Apple Inc.'s Dashboard widgets.
In terms of requirements, you'll need to have Screenlets installed in order to use Terminal Screenlet. But once you have everything set up, you'll find that it's easy to customize your terminal and make it work the way you want it to. Plus, with the latest release, there's even an option to set the scrollback buffer, which is a nice added feature.
