Timetric's client library provides easy access to their data and analytics platform, allowing developers to quickly integrate and utilize Timetric's features into their own software applications.
To get started, you'll need to create a config dictionary with at least your secret and key from Timetric. This data is located in the "Applications" pane of the settings page. Once you have your config set up, you can initialize a client with the config and start authorizing your key.
The first time through this process, you'll need to send the user to an authorization request page. timetric makes this easy with the webbrowser module. Once the user authorizes access, you can get an access token and start accessing the user's data.
It's worth pointing out that there's currently no API method to get a list of a particular user's series. You'll need to know the series ID in order to access it. Once you have the ID, accessing the series values is easy. You can get the latest value, iterate over the entire dataset, or update the series with new data.
There are a few different ways to update data, including using a single value, an iterable of (time, value) pairs, or a file of CSV data. Finally, if you need to clear out the data, you can easily delete all the data from the series. Overall, timetric is a powerful tool for accessing Timetric data and is definitely worth checking out.
