The Timo's Rescue CD Set is software that enables users to create rescue CDs that can boot up a system in case of a crash or malfunction. It provides an effective solution for disaster recovery and is easy to use.
This rescue system includes a range of tools such as reiserfs, parted, partimage, nmap, w3m, bash, sshd, telnetd, ftpd, and nfsd. It's based on Debian's "Sarge" release, and supports LILO, syslinux, isolinux, and GRUB.
The project is continually evolving, and currently moving towards a "Debian on CD" project, which means it can be used for more than just rescue CD creation. You can now install a whole Debian system on CD using this tool.
In its latest release, the buggy cdrecord script has been fixed, making it even more reliable. Overall, Timo's rescue CD set provides an excellent solution for customizing and generating bootable CDROMs with a rescue system.
