Tkacal is a scheduling software designed for use with cal. It helps users in managing their schedule efficiently.
The idea for tkacal came about when the creator was traveling by train from Oulu to Kannus in Finland and found that there weren't many good options for command line scheduling apps. As an added bonus, the creator was able to improve their python skills while developing tkacal.
Tkacal offers a range of useful features to make the scheduling process as simple and efficient as possible, including the ability to add and delete events, list events by date (within + or - n days) or by shortcut (e.g. --today), and even append text to an existing event (as of version 0.17).
To use tkacal, you'll need Python 2.2 or higher, sqlite 3 or higher, and pysqlite 2. However, the program is packed with features that make it stand out from other scheduling apps on the market, making it well worth a download if you're looking for a reliable, customizable scheduling solution.
