TREE Data Server is a financial data capture software that provides real-time financial data from multiple datafeed services.
Another key benefit of TREE Data Server is the ability to archive data in a historical database, making both live and archived data available to client applications. The archived tick stream and tick data can be used for offline data analysis and backtesting. This makes it an invaluable tool for traders and analysts who need to review past data to make informed decisions.
The current release of TREE Data Server includes a collection of applications built with C/C++. It also supports a range of platforms, including Linux x86 (Ubuntu 7.10), MacOSX PPC (10.4.11), and Windows XPSP2 x86 (MINGW port see tree/doc/ib.notes). Furthermore, it can capture real-time tick (snapshot) data from Interactive Brokers TWS API.
The latest release includes several updates and bug fixes. For instance, the version number in src/tools/treedata.h has been updated to Beta status. The release also includes fixes for handling MinMove calculations resulting in values > 32bits in src/tools/barbuilder.c and dealing only with positive trade sizes. In data/exchs/ECBOT, the Name value has been corrected, as well as in data/exchs/NYMEX.
In addition, the release includes updates to the handling of previous trades using UseSizePrice or UseVolumePrice parameters, better capture of TREE directory in dos batch scripts startup/ibparser.bat, hold/updater.bat, examples/dumpholdfile.bat, and examples/dumptreefile.bat. Added support for DOM data is included in doc/TODO of the new version.
Overall, TREE Data Server is a robust and feature-rich software tool that is perfect for traders, analysts, and developers who require real-time access to financial data. Its ability to capture, archive and make available both live and archived data makes it an indispensable tool for anyone who needs to make informed financial decisions.
