Brickwall software from Tresys simplifies the management of SELinux capabilities.
With Tresys Brickwall's intuitive graphical user interface (GUI), administrators can configure access to network resources at the application level. Also, security options (SELinux Booleans) can be easily set on a per-application basis. For those who prefer more advanced customization, users can even include raw SELinux policies.
Both the Tresys Brickwall Professional and Enterprise Editions offer additional targets for several applications not covered by the standard Reference Policy. Administrators can also create custom targets for applications that aren't on the built-in target list. These editions allow administrators to extend file access permissions as well.
The Tresys Brickwall Enterprise Edition introduces a first-ever network management capability to SELinux. By utilizing a central Tresys Enterprise Manager, administrators can securely manage configuration settings for all SELinux machines across their enterprise. Additionally, groups of client machines can be defined and managed accordingly. The Tresys Enterprise Manager also integrates with Tresys Razor products that manage enterprise applications, such as IBM's WebSphere and DB2.
The latest release of Tresys Brickwall includes several beneficial features, such as support for Fedora 8, user-defined domain transitions, custom target cloning, new view options, and several new application targets. Overall, Tresys Brickwall proves to be a practical, user-friendly, and highly secure tool for handling and managing the power of SELinux.
