Tunerd is a user-friendly software designed to manage FM tuner through a simple daemon process.
Naturally, it is crucial that tunerd has a simple and effective way of being controlled to ensure seamless communication with other programs. To allow this, tunerd listens on a TCP/IP socket which lets users set/get a range of FM tuner attributes. Additionally, the package comes with setuner which facilitates FM tuner control by communicating with tunerd.
Personally, I have found the ability to control my FM tuner via a web page and cgi-bin script incredibly useful. What's more, installation is a breeze with the simple compilation instructions: "./configure make".
Lastly, the newer release has introduced some valuable updates such as compatibility fixes and updated configure scripts. All things considered, tunerd is a reliable and efficient solution for controlling FM tuners.
