Tvark is a network monitoring sniffer tool that comes with a graphical user interface (GUI). It is designed to track network activity that is stored in a MySQL database.
However, a future release will provide for database population with independent filtering options, without the need to run the GUI. Tvark is optimized to meet two fundamental needs of network admins; first, to get a "feel" for the network traffic quickly and visually, and second, to provide a simple database of traffic information that allows for the creation of custom forensic modules, making it a valuable forensic tool.
The latest release of Tvark comes with several notable features, including renaming MIN/MAX to avoid conflicts and avoiding creating mutex before pthread_create to make some libcs happy. Overall, Tvark is a comprehensive network monitoring software with a wide array of features designed to help network admins monitor their networks and perform effective forensic analysis.
