A user-friendly Parental Control Graphical User Interface that allows parents to manage their children's access to websites, applications, and content on computers and mobile devices. It offers various features including filtering, monitoring, and restricting activities, as well as time management and reports for parental oversight.
Installation is pretty straightforward - simply enter the command "./configure && make && sudo make install" to install the software. However, before you run the program, make sure that the "parentalcontrol" directory is in the same directory as the program. If you run it directly from the project's directory, you shouldn't have any issues. However, if you choose to run it from the Gambas IDE, the working directory will be your home directory. To solve this problem, create a symlink to "parentalcontrol" in your home directory by entering the command "ln -s < projectdir >/parentalcontrol ~/parentalcontrol".
If you encounter any bugs while using the software, make sure to report them to the official bug tracker so that they can be addressed. Overall, the WebContentControl project is a useful parental control software with a simple interface, making it easy for even non-technical users to navigate.
