XMMS Picture Viewer is an Input Plugin for XMMS that enables users to view pictures and images as a slideshow.
The XMMS Picture Viewer Input Plugin adds support for the display of pictures. Whenever a picture file is selected in XMMS, the plugin will be activated and used to show it. Additionally, there is a settable time limit for picture display. Once the time is up, the next file from the XMMS playlist automatically starts playing. As a result, this plugin transforms XMMS into a highly effective tool for showing slideshows. This is why the project was given the name "XMMS-Slideshow".
To successfully use XMMS-Slideshow, it can be paired together with Bemused; this allows for control of the picture gallery from a mobile phone. This is because users can view and navigate through the complete directory tree on a hard drive straight from their mobile phone.
The XMMS Picture Viewer was designed for Linux and was developed with the kernel version 2.6.11.4. The program was tested under this kernel version, but it can run under other kernel versions as well. Here are some key features of XMMS Picture Viewer:
