Xquarto is a software that offers a two-player board game focused on logic. The game is strategic, where the players try to outwit each other by placing pieces on the board in a certain pattern. It is a mind-challenging game that engages the players in endless hours of fun.
The game ends when a row, column, or diagonal has four pieces carrying a common property. For example, four black (brown) pieces, four square (round) pieces, four filled (hollow) pieces, or four horizontal (vertical) pieces. In the original quarto rules, the player who is the first to complete a row, column, or diagonal as described above wins. However, in a variant of the game known as the "tic rules", the game is entirely about avoiding alignments, so the player who completes an alignment is the one that loses.
The game is quite simple, and Player 1 gets to pick one piece out of the 16. Player 2 then places that piece on one of the 16 squares of the board and chooses a piece out of the remaining 15. This piece is then given to Player 1, who places it on one of the remaining 15 squares on the board, etc. The game supports three different player combinations: human vs computer, computer vs human, and human vs human. The default setting is human vs computer, where the human player starts the game against the computer. This setting can be changed in the "Actions" menu.
In summary, Xquarto is a simple yet fascinating game that will keep you hooked for hours. The intuitive interface coupled with easy-to-understand rules ensures that players of all ages can enjoy it. Download Xquarto today and test your logic skills!
