ZoIP enables a seamless connection between telephony and text adventure games from Infocom for the Asterisk platform.
To function effectively, ZoIP requires a working installation of Asterisk as well as Festival and Sphinx2. Additionally, Asterisk::AGI(), Speech::Recognizer::SPX, Config::Tiny, and Proc::Daemon are required to run the software smoothly.
ZoIP's recent release comes with a wide range of exciting new features. For instance, it removes game files like Zork, which aren't freeware/abandonware. It also adds Sphinx2 support, which helps to enhance the performance of the software. Furthermore, ZoIP has added support for high-quality TTS voices from Cepstral.com.
Most notably, ZoIP now comes equipped with a comprehensive and user-friendly configuration file. This update has enabled the removal of all hardcoded values, ultimately making ZoIP seem more advanced and seamless.
