Use an intuitive interface to minimize distractions and optimize work efficiency.
The latest release, v0.2.0, is a stable base of functionality upon which the remaining features will be built. Presently, Beeswax only presents a single hierarchical view of all items since columns and custom views are yet to be included. But, the concept is simple: a database of information that stores individual items presented on your screen with a small bullet character at the beginning. Each item can also have notes attached to it for expanded content. These notes are stored within the Beeswax database and edited using your preferred text editor. When there's a note attached to an item, there's a small musical note displayed at its beginning.
Beeswax's database structure is entirely flexible and determined by the user's needs through working with the data. Each item can be assigned to multiple categories, allowing users to customize their data structuring further. Categories function as buckets that items are put into, and an item can be in as many categories as possible. If an item has other items assigned to it, then it is considered a category. However, if an item is assigned to more than one category, then it still cannot serve as a category.
The relationships between different items are highly customizable and flexible. Users can easily attach and detach categories, making it easy to navigate the database as needed. The best way to understand Beeswax is to start using it!
