CryptNET Keyserver is designed to create a public keys server that follows openPGP (RFC2440) standards.
Some key features that are present in CryptNET Keyserver include its ability to support openPGP (RFC2440) standards for version 3 and version 4 packets, validate key packets and subpackets, interfacing with other programs through a standard keyserver interface, and also allowing users to submit and retrieve keys through web browsers. The keyserver also provides other critical functionalities such as key caching, fully multi-threaded operations, cryptographically validating signatures, handling signature expiration, key expiration and revocation.
Additionally, CryptNET Keyserver also allows users to submit and retrieve multiple keys as key rings through the web browser, ensuring effective synchronization with other keyservers through the HTTP protocol (PKS).
It is worth noting that the latest release of CryptNET Keyserver has seen several reported bugs fixed. Furthermore, the software update introduces new features such as sigalm to prevent CPU throttle, (Optional) Large File Support, and general code cleanup. Other changes present in the update include formatting of cks.sql.in and code cleanup of HTML pages, CGI processing, and more, among others.
Overall, CryptNET Keyserver provides a reliable tool for key storage for individuals and organizations, mainly supporting openPGP (RFC2440) standards, and ensuring effective communication with other keyservers through HTTP protocol (PKS).
