A basic FTP Screenlet that enables uploading and downloading files effortlessly.
The installation process for this screenlet is a breeze since you can install the archive through the screenlet-manager or extract it to ~/.screenlets/. To start using it, you must set up and configure your FTP-server, which you can accomplish easily. All you have to do is right-click on the screenlet and select Properties. From there, go to Options -> FTP and configure your server.
Screenlets encompass a widget engine that powers a set of independently-developed widget applications. These widget applications run primarily on X11-based compositing window managers, specifically the Compiz (under Linux) architecture. Before 0.0.14, screenlets were exclusively scripted in Python and drawn in SVG. However, support for web widgets (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS-based) was added subsequently, similar to Apple Inc.'s Dashboard widgets.
To sum it up, FTPscreenlet is a must-have screenlet for anyone who wants to easily and quickly upload files and directories to their FTP server. The interface is user-friendly, and the installation process is straightforward. Install it through the screenlet-manager or extract it to ~/.screenlets/ directory and configure your server settings via the Properties menu.
