fuse-convmvfs is a tool that operates within the user space to transform the character set of filenames.
Using convmvfs is also uncomplicated. The command used to run it is convmvfs mountpoint [options], with various general and FUSE options available. It's important to keep in mind that if the mount point and srcdir are the same, the readdir operation can enter a dead loop. To avoid this, it's important to take necessary precautions.
Some sample use cases include mounting with convmvfs /ftp/pub_gbk -o srcdir=/ftp/pub, icharset=utf8,ocharset=gbk and subsequently unmounting with fusermount -u /ftp/pub_gbk.
This release includes updates to the Makefile.am, configure.in, src/convmvfs.cpp with updated version and author info. In addition, the AUTHORS email has been changed. It's important to note that normal users who mount the filesystem should ensure they have read and write permission to /dev/fuse. Charsets that are supported can be viewed by using `iconv --list`. Finally, to allow other users to access the mount point, use the allow_other option.
