Improve the performance of Geo::Distance library to enhance the speed of distance calculation between two points on Earth's surface.
Using this module is easy. After installation, you can use it in your Perl script via the *use Geo::Distance::XS* statement. Then, simply create a new instance of the Geo::Distance module and call the distance method with the desired units and latitude/longitude coordinates.
For example, you can calculate the distance between two points in miles using the following syntax with Geo::Distance::XS:
my $geo = Geo::Distance->new;
my $distance = $geo->distance(mile => $lon1, $lat1 => $lon2, $lat2);
If you're already familiar with the original Geo::Distance module, then you will find it easy to integrate the Geo::Distance::XS module into your existing code. Just consult the documentation for the original module to learn how to use this new implementation of the distance calculations that it provides.
