Guitest is a Python library that assists in testing GUI applications created with Python.
Presently, the documentation is seriously lacking in detail, but users may find the EuroPython 2005 presentation (available in OO.org Impress, PDF) helpful, albeit a bit outdated. Doctests are also an essential feature of guitest because they are always up to date.
To use the software, one needs to check out the python scripts in the examples subdirectory. Since there is no actual documentation yet, users may want to examine the EuroPython 2005 presentation in OpenOffice.org Impress format (ep2005.sxi) for an overview. Although verbose, doctests (found in guitest/tests/*.py) can be useful since they are always current.
The latest update of guitest includes very preliminary support for wxWidgets and Tkinter applications. Additionally, a few minor bugs have been fixed.
