A software program that enables Flow-Based Programming through the use of Java language.
Moreover, JavaFBP is easily scalable as it allows multiplexing of components that may be I/O-bound or CPU-bound. Additionally, it permits us to leverage the benefits of multiple processors that our modern machines offer to achieve optimum performance. The program is defined in the Java programming language, which we believe gives it more flexibility than designing a special-purpose language.
Although JavaFBP was not available when writing my book, a page has now been included in this site to describe the syntax of the JavaFBP network definition and a sample JavaFBP component. This page will be updated periodically as time permits to ensure that users can get the most out of the software. To access the page, click on the link provided labeled 'JavaFBP Network Syntax and Sample Component.'
