This software offers a range of DHTML menus including drop down, bar, tree, and windows.
One of the things that set mygosuMenu apart, is its search engine and text browser-friendliness. The software is compatible with IE 5.0/5.5/6.0, Mozilla 1.4/1.7, Opera 7.11/7.23/7.52, Netscape 7.11, Firefox 0.7/0.8/0.9, Safari 1.2, etc.
mygosuMenu features several types of menus that users can create, including the DropDownMenu1, which is a 1-level drop-down menu (horizontal, vertical). The DropDownMenuX has unlimited nesting (horizontal, vertical), while the TreeMenu features a ClickShowHideMenu. The XulMenu, on the other hand, is a windows-like menu with unlimited nesting (horizontal, vertical) - with DynamicTree & DynamicTreeBuilder included.
It is worth noting that some of the menus contain an additional file to support IE 5.0. There's a script type available for this - you just have to copy and paste the following code to enable it: < script type="text/javascript" src="../ie5.js" >< /script >. However, if you don't want to support IE 5.0, you can just remove that line of code.
Another thing to bear in mind is that when no doctype is specified, Internet Explorer runs in "quirks" mode. This makes it backward-compatible, but it also comes with several css bugs. If you want to avoid them, make sure you use a doctype - it doesn't have to be XHTML. For example, you can use either < !DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "" >, or < !DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "" >.
