Oddmuse is a Wiki engine software that is easy to use since it provides a simple single-file setup.
The software also allows for a switch to be made to Weblog style, enabling anyone to post comments while limiting the ability to add new pages to editors only.
In order to use Oddmuse, you need a web server that's capable of running CGI-scripts, which is a standard feature provided by most web hosting providers. Additionally, you need Perl 5.8 which is also offered by most hosting providers. Though, some optional functionality may require non-standard Perl Modules, whose availability varies. Optional dependencies such as diff and diff3 are optional but recommended (see Dependencies).
Among the new releases, there's an added CloseHtmlEnvironments() call for an image caption, getting rid of $SideBarOpenPageName, and simplifying the code so that id attributes are only generated for the "main" page (the one returned by GetId).
Oddmuse checks all the right boxes when it comes to providing a simple, easy-to-use Wiki engine that requires minimal setup and configuration.
