OpenWorld offers a GNOME or KDE icon theme for software customization.
Most of the icons were drawn while waiting in public places, like airports or bus stands, or at home during slow internet connections. OpenWorld is possibly the most complete icon theme made for the Java Desktop System, although it has not been tested on other GNOME or KDE desktops.
The collection of icons provided by OpenWorld was designed using SVG which makes it object-oriented; therefore, users can easily reuse items from one icon in another icon. The icons were then rasterized to PNG using rsvg(1). All of the icons provided in this collection are entirely original, and they do not intend to copy icons from any other operating systems or icon themes.
These icons are released under the CDDL open source license, which allows users to copy the ideas for creating other icon themes. OpenWorld is a must-have icon theme for anyone who wants to have unique and original icons on their GNOME or KDE desktop.
