A package management library designed to operate with Gentoo style ebuilds along with an uncomplicated console client.
The installation process for Paludis is straightforward and easy to follow. First, you simply need to unpack the archive anywhere on your system. The archive will unpack into a directory that shares the same name as the archive.
Once the archive is unpacked, the directory in which it resides becomes the pulse home directory. To be able to use pulse scripts outside of this directory, you must set PULSE_HOME to the absolute path of the directory.
After installation, you can start your pulse server by running the startup script located in the bin directory. Startup.sh is meant for Unix-like systems, while Windows users should run Startup.bat instead.
For more detailed instructions on the installation process, please consult the Getting Started Guide. With easy installation, and an intuitive interface, Paludis is an excellent choice for managing packages on your system.
