Ursus is a 3D platformer video game.
The game's origins date back to when the creator discovered The Games Factory, a program that enabled game creation without programming knowledge. From there, the game evolved over multiple sequels, with Ursus 3 (also known as Ursus 3D) using 2 depth levels to create the illusion of 3D, and Ursus 4 building on the same idea with better graphics.
The fifth installment, Ursus 5, was the first in the series to offer real-time 3D with its Jamagic-made engine, giving players the freedom to create their own levels with ease. And now, Ursus 6 takes it to the next level with new technology and C++ programming, using the powerful Irrlicht graphic engine and Audiere library to bring it all to life.
This latest version of Ursus is also the first playable on Linux, making it even easier for gamers everywhere to join in on the fun. To get started, all you need is a CPU of at least 1 Ghz, 128 MB of RAM, and a good graphics card with correctly installed drivers (GeForce is advised). If you want to compile the sources, you'll also need the Irrlicht and Audiere libraries.
Overall, Ursus 6 is an excellent addition to the series, offering stunning graphics and gameplay that will keep you hooked from start to finish. Whether you're a child or an adult, this game is sure to delight and impress, so be sure to give it a try today!
