Perl/Linux is an OS that solely relies on Perl language to run all its applications.
Some of the standout programs included in Perl/Linux include plHttpd, which is a web server, edit, which is ACE-based, and an enhanced version of vi, the popular text editor. The distribution also features enhanced alternatives to existing Linux tools, such as mount (enhanced unSlider version), xargs, login, passwd, getty, halt, init, ifconfig, and route.
It's important to note that the only compiled code within this version of Perl/Linux is the Linux kernel (which is not currently built alongside this project), Perl, and uClibc. If you're looking for a lightweight Linux distribution that is perfect for programming, this could be a great option to consider.
