Quintalign is a single-player board game available for Linux/KDE2 and Linux/KDE3 operating systems.
To achieve this, you can move any piece to any location on the board that can be reached by moving the piece on a connected path horizontally or vertically, or both. But watch out - for each piece you move, three new pieces will drop onto the board (default: 3). Only if you manage to align enough pieces so that they vanish, no new pieces will appear. But don't worry, you also have a joker piece which can be aligned with any color.
Here are some key features of Quintalign:
- Tetris-like board game: very addictive
- Supports user themes for all graphics
- Various configuration options and levels
The game is written and compiled under SUSE Linux 8.0 using qt.3.x and KDE 3.x, but if you use the source file, it should run with any Linux distribution. To install, simply extract the tar file, navigate to the directory, run the configure script, and then make. Depending on your system, you might need to run the "make install" command as root or with elevated privileges.
One thing to note: if you change the background graphics, make sure to turn off the decorations, or the graphics might look odd. And if you want to use the themes, be sure to download the latest version of Quintalign. Overall, Quintalign is a fun and challenging board game that is sure to keep you entertained for hours!
