The dual-homed firewall script enables easy setup of a masquerading firewall using IPTABLES (Net)filter mechanism.
Generally, the script is easy to use as it will work 'out-of-the-box'. However, it is advisable to tailor it to your personalized needs. One of the basic things to carry out is setting the correct default interfaces - please refer to the Default-Interfaces section.
The syntax for invoking this awesome script is "firewall (start|stop|restart|status) EXTIF INTIF." A good example would be "firewall start ppp0 eth0". This is simple to understand and apply.
In this release, a few comments are added in this version, which I must confess is quite helpful. In conclusion, this dual-homed firewall script is valuable and useful software.
