THC-ManipulateData software allows users to efficiently search for data on hard drives, partitions, and files.
The software includes 4 distinct tools, each of which has its own syntax and options. The "search_data" tool allows users to search for a specific string of text within a designated block device, which can be specified either with or without case sensitivity. The output will display a list of all locations where the search string was found, along with the relevant text snippet.
The "read_data" tool allows users to extract a specific amount of data from a source block device, starting at a specified offset. The output file will always be named according to its starting address and number of bytes.
The "write_data" tool allows users to write data to a designated block device, based on the contents of a specified file. The location where the data is written is determined by the filename, and it is important to ensure that the file size matches the amount of space allocated on the block device.
Finally, the "replace_data" tool allows users to search for a specific string of text, and replace all instances of it with a different string. This can be done with or without case sensitivity.
The latest version of THC-ManipulateData includes a number of bug fixes, as well as the addition of a hexdump display option for the search_data tool. Overall, this software provides a powerful set of tools for those looking to manage and manipulate data on their system.
