Thunar Volume Manager enables easy management of removable media and drives with automatic integration for Thunar File Manager.
Compared to other solutions such as gnome-volume-manager or ivman, the Thunar Volume Manager proves to be a more lightweight solution because it doesn't require an extra daemon to run in the user's desktop session. Additionally, it perfectly integrates into the Thunar file manager and the Xfce desktop.
To use Thunar Volume Manager, you will need to have GTK+ version 2.6.x, Thunar File Manager 0.5.1 or above, D-BUS 0.34 or above (with the dbus-glib development package), and HAL 0.5.0 or above (with the libhal development package).
This release has fixed several bugs and added some new translations for users to have a better experience. In general, the Thunar Volume Manager takes the pain out of media management and is an extremely useful tool for users who work with removable media frequently.
